After finishing 2009 with the best show in Australian Muay Thai history the best of Australian and international fighters are ready to back it up with Evolution 20.
On the 24th of April 2010 the Sleeman Centre home to some of the best fights seen around the world in the last decade will lead fight fans into the next decade of Muay Thai action. From 6:30 fans can prepare themselves to see hard hitting, adrenaline fuelled action. As the night wears on the intensity will lift, the hits will get harder and the losers will fall harder.
The main event on the night will be a contest for the WMC world title . The king of Australian Muay Thai 'John' Wayne Parr v Eugene ‘Boom Boom’ Ekleboom. These two champions will fight it out over 5 rounds to see who’s still got the goods. Parr tore apart up-and-comer Eli Maddigan at the end of 2009 to prove he still holds the crown. Now it’s boom boom that will test the king. The winner of this fight will go home with the WMC World Title.
The ‘mad dog’ Eli Maddigan, will be up against long time superstar Bruce ‘the Preacher’ Macfie. A fight many have though should have happened sooner is being offered to fans on this card. Can the star of the Contender Asia Series 2 step up and conquer a fighter with the experience of the Preacher?
DDD put together one of the fights of his career at the last event, now he’s back for another 5 round thriller against Chad ‘the stalker’ Walker. Making his way towards the glory of his title shot Dane ‘Daddy Kool’ takes on an international opponent, other international bouts from Michael ‘Tomahawk’ taking on a crafty Thai fighter and Dan Moulder v Super Boi will leave the crowd pumped. If that’s not enough, international star and Contender Asia series 1 fighter Zidov Akuma is coming back to Oz to fight on the card.
The growth of MMA around the world has encouraged the Evolution promoters to bring MMA to Evolution fans. Just like the Thaiboxing the MMA contest will feature a world class fighter in Adrian Pang.
